Cloaks were a very important part of a Viking's wardrobe. Not only did they provide warmth and protection from the elements, but they also served as a status symbol.

Cloaks were often made of wool, fur, or even feathers, and they came in a variety of colors, including black, brown, and blue. While most cloaks were plain, some were decorated with intricate patterns or embroidery.

The most prized cloaks were those that were made of expensive materials like silk or velvet. Viking cloaks were not only practical but also fashionable, and they played an important role in Viking culture.

Among the many items found in a Viking's burial chamber were their cloaks. Cloaks were an important part of a Viking's wardrobe and served many purposes. Made of wool, linen, or animal skin, they could be used as blankets or sleeping mats.

Cloak

One of the best purchases I made. This cloak provided good sun protection while not being too heavy for prolonged use. It was easy to secure in place with its ribbon-tie, so no clasp or brooch is required. Good length as well, allowing it to cover most of the body even if one happens to be a bit on the tall side (I’m well over 6’).

Love it.

A little lighter than expected, but allows for more dramatic flourishes and brooding throughout the land. Clearly need to expand my thematic wardrobe since it looks a bit off without and shirt and with sweatpants.

Glibness aside: love it.
