Viking cloaks were fastened with a variety of different types of clasps, ranging from simple pins to intricate brooches. The most common type of clasp was the pin, which was used to secure the cloak at the shoulder.
Pins were usually made of iron or bronze, and they were often decorated with Viking motifs. Brooches were also popular, and they were often worn in pairs. These elaborate pieces were used to fasten the cloak at the neck, and they were often quite ornate.
Viking cloaks were also sometimes fastened with fur ties, which helped to keep the garment in place in windy conditions. Whatever type of clasp was used, it was typically functional as well as decorative, serving both to hold the cloak in place and to add a touch of beauty to the garment.

Because most of our clothing and leather products are handmade the color trim may vary from garment to garment. We feel this is a better representation of the Viking Age and prefer to offer you handmade rather than factory garments!
