One of the most important aspects of Norse mythology is Yggdrasil, the tree of life. Yggdrasil is a symbol of the interconnectedness of all things in Norse mythology.
Yggdrasil is a massive tree that is said to be the center of the Norse cosmos. The nine worlds of Norse mythology are all linked by Yggdrasil. This includes Asgard, the world of the gods; Midgard, the world of humans; and Jotunheim, the world of giants.
Yggdrasil is also home to a number of powerful creatures. These include the dragon Níðhöggr, who gnaws at the roots of the tree; the eagle Hraesvelgr, who sits above the tree; and the squirrel Ratatoskr, who scurries up and down the tree.
